Martin Luther King III Recalls Words of His Father in New Video #SwordThatHeals

In the wake of recent decisions in Ferguson, Missouri and Staten Island, New York and protests around the country, Martin Luther King III (@OfficialMLK3) is asking the country to remember his father's words about non-violence in a new public service initiative.

In a new video, produced by the Bounce TV television network of which King III is a founder and board member, the son of the Civil Rights pioneer Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. says:  

"My father once said, 'Non-violence is a powerful and just weapon, which cuts without wounding and ennobles the man who wields it.  It is a sword that heals.' And healing is what we need...after Michael Brown and Eric Garner... It's important to remember his words, now and always."
